Delicious Duck Legs

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 2-4 Duck Legs
  • Root Vegetables cut into large pieces to line bottom of pan
  • 1-2 cups vegetable or Bone Broth
  • 1 whole Garlic cloves peal and keep whole
  • 2-3 Tbsp Orange Marmalade add after baking
  • 1-2 Tbsp Cointreau or Triple-Sec add after baking

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Brown the skin of duck legs on top of the stove in a Caste Iron skillet
  • cook the underside of the legs for about 2 minutes
  • Place duck legs on a separate plate
  • Add thick slices of Root vegetables to the skillet turning over when slightly browned
  • add Duck Legs back into pan on top of veggies
  • Add Broth
  • Place in 400° oven for about 20-30 minutes
  • Reduce heat to 350°
  • Bake for 1Hour
  • Mix the Orange Marmalade with the Cointreau or Triple-Sec
  • Place Legs on Serving Plates
  • Add the mixture of Marmalade and Cointreau on top of the Duck
  • Add veggies and Broth and garlic to the serving plates
  • serve and enjoy
