Delicious Duck Legs

Ingredients
  

  • 2-4 Duck Legs
  • Root Vegetables cut into large pieces to line bottom of pan
  • 1-2 cups vegetable or Bone Broth
  • 1 whole Garlic cloves peal and keep whole
  • 2-3 Tbsp Orange Marmalade add after baking
  • 1-2 Tbsp Cointreau or Triple-Sec add after baking

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Brown the skin of duck legs on top of the stove in a Caste Iron skillet
  3. cook the underside of the legs for about 2 minutes
  4. Place duck legs on a separate plate
  5. Add thick slices of Root vegetables to the skillet turning over when slightly browned
  6. add Duck Legs back into pan on top of veggies
  7. Add Broth
  8. Place in 400° oven for about 20-30 minutes
  9. Reduce heat to 350°
  10. Bake for 1Hour
  11. Mix the Orange Marmalade with the Cointreau or Triple-Sec
  12. Place Legs on Serving Plates
  13. Add the mixture of Marmalade and Cointreau on top of the Duck
  14. Add veggies and Broth and garlic to the serving plates
  15. serve and enjoy
